Our Pre-School is based in a custom built building with its own playground within The Pastures Primary School site.

Our fully trained staff provide learning through play with both child initiated and adult supported activities in a caring and professional environment.

The Pre-School is open five mornings a week during term time. Opening hours are 9am-1pm. Children are expected to bring a nut free packed lunch to enjoy at midday with their friends (your child will be offered free milk or water mid morning).

Funding Options

Our current Pre-Schools costs are £18 per session. Parents will receive a termly invoice which includes bacs details for payment. 

Funding is available for eligible 2,3 & 4 year olds over a 38 week period. The Pre-School leader will be able to give you more information about funding or alternatively you can access the government website linked on this page. If your child is eligible, the relevant forms will be processed to receive funding through the local authority.

We also accept payment using childcare vouchers. Some parents choose to use childcare vouchers which are available through some employers, you will need to speak to the school office to be able to register.

Applying for a place 

Please contact the Pre- School leader on 01162867738 or pre-school@pasturesprimary.com to arrange a visit. We operate a waiting list based on children's date of birth (oldest children are offered priority).

Parent Responsibilities

It is important you let us know where you can be contacted in an emergency. It is parents responsibility to ensure all information is kept up to date.

Please ensure your child is collected promptly at the end of the session. If someone else is collecting your child you must let a member of staff know in advance.

Complaints Procedure

Any concerns of complaints should be addressed directly with the Pre-School leader, most concerns can be dealt with easily at this level. If you are still not happy, please make a further appointment to see the Headteacher, Mrs Cecchini. If you are still not happy, please make a further appointment to see the Headteacher. You have the right to bring a friend to support you at this meeting and will receive a written record of action taken in regard to your problem.  If you are still unhappy, a letter of complaint should be addressed to the Chair of Governers, C/O the school. She will either respond to you in writing to set up a further meeting. You will receive information on making a formal complaint.
